The Idea

As time went on I began to master the use of coal (keeping just the right amount on the Hookah Tobacco) and I also learned how to manipulate the flavor in exotic and unique ways.  I can make Hookahs that taste like almost any candy or drink you can think of… I had evolved into a Cloud Master™; Hookah is my Art™.

It was around this time that inspiration struck.  One day as I was using a Hookah I began to think about all the separate elements that worked together to heat the Hookah Tobacco, draw it into the base, filter it, and then deliver it to me.  I paid close attention to the flavor, and ever the inquisitive soul, I tried to figure out how to make the Hookah better.

I realized that the greatest flaw in the Hookah design is the use of coal as the heat source for burning the Hookah Tobacco.  It is profoundly tedious to prepare coal and once it’s ready it’s an exercise in Thermodynamics just keeping the right amount of heat on, and off, the Hookah Tobacco.  Add to this fact the harmful compounds, like ash and carbon monoxide, produced by the coal and you’re basically sucking in a toxic soup of chemicals that really have nothing to do with the Hookah Tobacco itself.

So my mind worked and, like all moments of inspiration, the muses gripped my imagination and took me into the Hookah.  I could see how the coal interacted with the Hookah Tobacco and I pondered other methods of heating it.  In the end, I realized that the best way to heat Hookah Tobacco is to use electricity.

Electricity is clean and, unless you’re tazed, struck by lightning, or live under power lines, it’s safe.  There are none of the compounds released by coal in the smoke produced through electricity.  There are also none of the nasty flavors emitted by the coal and which mix with the Hookah Tobacco.

I knew that I was on to something.  I knew that after nearly five hundred years of use, Hookahs were due for a major innovation, and I was going to deliver this innovation.  I would make Hookah use, cleaner, healthier, more flavorful, and convenient.  I would revolutionize Hookahs!
