This Is The Art of Cloud

In 2006 I found myself faced with the opportunity to travel to Dubai, Egypt, the Maldives, and Thailand.  I decided that nothing would be cooler than buying a Hookah from the best place in the world to buy Hookahs–Egypt (apparently).

So after a few days in Dubai, a city I like to call the flamboyant child of Miami and Vegas, I was off to Egypt and the Red Sea paradise known as Sharm-el-Sheikh or “Sharm of the Sheikh” in English.

I spent about a week there and dove the Red Sea taking in all the splendor that is the Jewel of North Africa…

After Sharm of the Sheikh I moved on to Cairo–one of the best cities in the world hands down, it’s like being in a Humphrey Bogart flick, very cool.

Here in the land of the Pharaohs, I decided to explore the Grand Bazaar in search of the perfect Hookah.  My guide in the Bazaar took me from one shop to the next and even to the small manufacturers, but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

Finally, I found my baby.  A beautiful stainless steel sold beast of a Hookah.  She was green in those days, but I soon realized that the paint on the glass chips off slowly through time and use, but she’s still kickin’ and has tasted some of the sweetest Hookah in the world.
